Haiger station: progress instead of stagnation
A modern, clean and accessible railway station matters to commuters, travellers and Haiger’s economy. The FDP calls for a concrete action plan and timetable by the second council session period of 2027.
Options to be examined include potential acquisition of the station building and parking areas, step-free platform access and improvements to the bus station. No purchase has been approved.

Clean town: examine a dog DNA register
Dog waste on pavements, green spaces and playgrounds is a nuisance. The FDP wants to assess whether a DNA register of registered dogs could help identify offenders.
Legal, organisational and financial requirements, possible changes to local regulations, costs and fines still need to be clarified. No decision to introduce a register has been made.

Local government
Responsible local politics with a long-term view
Shape Haiger. Create opportunities. Secure the future.
FDP Haiger stands for local politics that combine economic common sense, personal freedom and responsibility towards future generations. We want to shape our town in a practical, transparent way.
This includes sound municipal finances, a strong local economy, less bureaucracy and modern, citizen-friendly administration. Investments must be transparent, sustainable and financially viable.
We support attractive conditions for companies, trades and local businesses. A strong economy creates jobs and secures the financial foundations of our town.
Our commitment: proportionate policies, transparent decisions and the courage to try new approaches – for Haiger and its districts.
